SPORTS INTERACTION: LIVE BETTING WILL REVOLUTIONIZE WORLD CUP Live betting online the best way to enjoy the World Cup Montreal, June 8, 2010. As the eyes of the world turn to Johannesburg and the first ever soccer World Cup on African soil, Sports Interaction is offering what Vegas can't - a wealth of live betting that matches the scope of the tournament itself. The World Cup is the biggest event in global sports, bigger even than the Olympics, and Sports Interaction is making live betting the cornerstone of its coverage in this, the fourth World Cup since the establishment of the company thirteen years ago. "We've got every soccer bet type you can think of on the World Cup - that's a given," says Frank Doyle, a spokesman for Sports Interaction (http://www.sportsinteraction.com). "But what particularly makes this World Cup interesting for us is the sheer scope of our live betting product." Doyle believes that live betting is ideally suited to Sports Interaction in a way that it's not suited to land-based sportsbooks. "If you're in Vegas, everybody can't all get to the window at once when Frank Lampard looks up and sees a defense-splitting run by Wayne Rooney. But with Sports Interaction's live betting service, you can just click and bet, and get your bet down instantly. It's always on." A lot of work has gone into the interface of the live betting site, something of which Doyle is quite proud. "You have real-time game situation updates, interactive features like Game Chat, and there are a huge number of World Cup bets," says Doyle. "It's like Batman's utility belt - everything you could possibly need is there." So who does Doyle think will win it? "Brazil and Argentina are quite short priced, while Spain and England have very strong teams this year. But right now Germany look like a real value bet at 11/1 to me. Spain's Fernando Torres is a good bet for top goalscorer at 12/1 too."

Saints 10/1 Shot to Repeat as Super Bowl Champs
Despite losing to New Orleans Sunday night in the Super Bowl , the Indianapolis Colts are the current favorite to win Super Bowl XLV, with odds of 6/1, according to the odds-makers at Sportsbook.com. Not much of a surprise here, considering that the Colts still have Peyton Manning as their quarterback.
While there is little denying that the Colts are considered the best team in the AFC, the next two favorites to win Super Bowl are both NFC squads. Not much of a surprise that one of them is the newly crowned champs. Sportsbook.com have made the Saints a 10/1 shot to once again hoist the Vince Lombardi Trophy.
The other NFC team with 10/1 odds to win Super Bowl XLV are the Minnesota Vikings, who were oh so close to reaching Super Bowl XLIV, before Brett Favre’s meltdown at the end of the NFC Championship game against the Saints. The Vikings still aren’t sure if Favre will come back for the 2010 Regular Season. As a result, odds-makers have come up with the following prop on the 40-year-old QB: “Will Brett Favre Play in Week #1 of 2010 NFL Regular Season”? The Yes is currently a very slight -140 favorite.
Sportsbook.com spokesman Dave Staley stated that “You would hardly get an argument from anyone that Drew Brees is the second best player in the NFL after Peyton Manning. One can see why the quarterback is considered the most important position for a NFL football team. That is also a big reason why the Colts are currently the favorite to win Super Bowl XLV, because they have the best player in the game in Manning.”
Staley concluded “The NFL is considered the premier sport in the United States because of the parity of the league, where any team can go from 4-12 to 12-4 after only one year, and from Super Bowl Champs to not even making the playoffs the following season. Just ask the Pittsburgh Steelers, who won Super Bowl XLIII, and then they missed out on the postseason this past year.”
