I played my first live tournament this weekend presented by 1deal. The poker tournament was held in Toronto Ontario Canada. And there were about 400 players. There were some great prizes up for grabs with 1st place getting a EPT package, second getting a WPT cruise packages and third a trip to Mexico.
Being my first live event I was a little nervures and was the youngest player in the event. I went in with the plan of being conservative to start. My plan was working well until I was dealt KK and was raised 350 and the blinds being 25/25 only 20 mins into the game. I call 350 and the flop is 8 4 7. I raise 500 and he reraises me 700. So I go allin. He turns over pocket 8’s and has trips off the flop.
He had me covered an that ended my poker event in Toronto.
Although I played that hand as well as I could, I will be back next time and make it to the final table.
